The Amazing Spiderman opening scene does really well to portray the stereotypes of a super hero from the music to the way the camera follows Spiderman to the villains. Right away there is Spiderman's symbol on the screen to signify its about spiderman.
Camera shots and angles in the opening sequence of spiderman are what really help to show and portray what sort of character is in a way of he's done this for a while now and saving New York city isn't a big job for him.
for example this low angle shot of him in mid air almost gives him a sense of power as he's high up above everyone else even the building giving him a great presence. this is a stereotype of a super-hero who is more powerful than anyone else and is always higher up.
this close of up the villain who's trying to get away really shows his fail expressions and does well to show his anger which most villains have. this shot makes the audience feel cautious because the villain looks angry and scary, they also know there is going to be some action coming up as spiderman will have to deal with him.
The opening sequence does really well to keep it flowing because its unusual for a super-hero movie to break down and be very slow, like it is it should be quick and action packed to keep the audience hooked which it does very well.
you can see here who the shot changes from a tracking shot to a long shot very quickly but keeps the fluidity of the scene going and the action doesn't lessen. the director does this well throughout the whole film to use a variety of different shots but keep the action flowing.
