Target Audience

Our Opening sequence and whole movie will predominantly be aimed at Males under 25 as the use of language through out is more for the male ear, also males under 25 will be able to relate to the situations that go on in the play and the language used as an older person may not understand some of the terminology used, females may not be drawn to a movie like this as some of the female stereo-types portrayed may come off to be offensive towards them.

As the movie is about a older brother looking for revenge over his younger brothers death there are going to be elements of violence, which may not appeal to the older generation or certain females, however this would appeal to most males under 25 as the younger generation are entertained by violent films with characters that they can relate to.

The genre of the film will be a Revenge Thriller, as the brothers looking for revenge on his younger brothers killers. This particular genre would appeal to males under 25 as this is a violent tale with a dark essence about it. Films like Taken target this type of audience as older men swell because men like the look of violence and more vibrant language than most women not all.

This film would be less reliable for prominent female characters meaning a lack of females would appear in the film, this made put some females off as they have nothing to relate to within the film as most of the characters would be male and there may be a language barrier between the two

This film would mostly appeal to UK audiences as its set in England which would be un-familiar to people from a different country, also the language used which would mainly be slang would be hard to understand for someone from a different country which would create a language barrier and on the whole meaning the movie wouldn't be a good success, However the plot would appeal to a lot of people anywhere as a story of a brother dying and someone seeking revenge on the killers would relate to a lot of people as this may have happened to someone they know or something they look for in a film.

I feel this film would be a certificate 15 as films like taken with a lot of violence, bad language and also viewings of scenes that can offend people are also 15s, our film wouldn't be as high on violence and the amount you can actually see.

On the actaull British Board of Film Classification (BBFC) website these are the subjects that can be viewed in a certificate 15.
